Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Red Lion, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary offerings and overall warmth of the environment. As a marine biologist with a fondness for sustainable dining, I found the menu at Henry's French Bistro particularly appealing, highlighting local ingredients with a creative twist. I opted for the Chicken & Bacon Carbonara, which was satisfying and paired well with a refreshing tonic water. The ambiance was inviting, especially with the open fireplace in the bar area, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Though I missed breakfast due to an early departure, it was heartening to hear that it featured options like scrambled eggs, ideal for setting a positive tone for the day. Conveniently located and reasonably priced on weekends, the Red Lion is a comfortable stay for those seeking both dining and adventure. I look forward to returning.
